Gravitas
Gravitas is a supporting study and ‘process’ drawing of the sculptural installation Weight of Light. The resin marks that form the texture of the drawing are the residual drips that fell from the optical prisms of the installation as they were being dipped, while the graphite marks reference the formal structure of the sculptural installation Weight of Light .
Gravitas formed part of the solo show Weight of Light at St Mary’s Church York, which was hosted by the York Festival of Ideas 2019.
