The Ordered Universe

This collection of drawings are the result of a collaboration with the Ordered Universe project. The studies are in direct response to texts explored during group translations of the treatises of Bishop Robert Grosseteste (c.1170-1253). The texts range in subject from colour (De Colore), rainbows (De Iride), spatial geometry (De Differentiis Localibus) and the structure of the cosmos (De Sphera). Some drawings serve to visualise the theories of Grosseteste, while others are studies for sculptural works and kinetic pieces.
